Pretty much every item within this look is what I’m considering to be a fall essential, for my wardrobe at least. A good neutral or fall printed blazer, graphic tees, leather botttoms and mules! These are all current trends of course, but I’m labeling them to be essentials for the season. And I don’t know how the weather is where you live, but Texas definitely can’t seem to make up it’s mind. Thankfully this past Saturday’s weather was absolutely perfect for this look! I’ll break down these items and why I chose them for this look below!
You know when you plan a look in your head beforehand, and then the excitement you get when it actually comes together once you have all of the pieces?! Or is that just me!? Because I was a little too excited in my bedroom mirror once this look came together! I’ll start with this blazer…although it really tied this look together, it’s also a wardrobe staple in a classic print that’ll never really go out of style. And for those of you that may not know, I’m all about timeless staples. This blazer also has a coordinating pair of trousers that I plan to purchase, and I’ll share with you guys how it’s styled as a fall suit!
By now you’d think I have enough graphic and slogan tees, but in my eyes I can never have too many. As I’ve said before, I love what they add to any look; whether you’re styling it casually, or dressing it up. Originally for this look I wanted a graphic tee that was white, I actually settled for this black one [partially because of what it said lol] and it turned out to be just as cute! I’ve found in my years of excessive shopping that you get the best graphic tees in the men’s sale section, just saying!
I was actually surprised that I didn’t own a leather skirt, well an up to date one I should say. I did have a cute pair of classy leather shorts I’ve owned for years, but it was something about a leather mini that was really gonna complete this look for me. It too is a wardrobe staple! Two things that’ll never go out of style, leather and denim. I liked the contrasting fabric that the leather brought to this look, it would’ve been so easy to just style a pair of jeans with this look.
Y’all like my Gucci mules? SIKE! But I am digging the knock off trend for sure. And I wanted a leather pair so bad that I searched and searched for a good deal on a pair, until the point where it’ll be too cold to wear them soon! However, it was definitely worth the wait because I got these babies for $25! They’re such an easy casual shoe, great for work too! If you haven’t caught on to the trend yet and bought you a pair, you definitely should! And they’re not hard to find at all! And yes men, theyre trending for y’all too!
