Where did 2 years go?! I cannot believe I am here already to say.. . HAPPY 2 YEAR ANNIVERSARY TO THIS BLESSING OF A BLOG OF MINE! I literally remember the start to all of this.. .having being a college graduate all of a month, soon to be unemployed for 2 months.. .after constant encouragement and ideas, this little baby was born and I am so grateful that it did. I have received so much confirmation from God and others throughout this entire process. From me taking and editing my own pictures, to the natural flow of my words when writings posts, as well as the love that I’ve always had for it, I know that this is something God always had planned for me to do. I can’t see my life without this blog. That is why this year it is so important for me to be consistent and pour much more into it. 2017 threw me off track a bit, but definitely for the right reasons and I wouldn’t change any of it. I know that I say it often, but I am truly grateful for the constant love and support of my blog, as well as everything that I do. Year 2 is going to bring so much for me and sevendaysinstyle, I am claiming it!
Now for outfit deets! Cant have an anniversary without the proper look right? With the holidays and everything else that goes on in a week with Kris happening, I didn’t have time to plan the shoot that I had hoped for. SO, I had my own. At a spot in Downtown that I have admired for quite some time. And I must say that I was pleased with the outcome.
I lucked up on this fur for only $25! Shoutout to the store not having your size, telling you it’s available online, and it just so happening to be half off! Now that I think about it, there’s a story behind every item of clothing in this post lol. I won’t tell them all though, for the sake of time. And this mini crossbody was my Christmas gift to myself…yes I always buy myself at least one nice gift above what I’d normally pay for something for Christmas. And she is also a new year favorite. I honestly have found that I hate carrying full size purses and have really gravitated towards the grab and go style. So she works!
It’s no secret that these boots have definitely become my new year favorites…especially after the hassle it took to even get them! They were actually SUPPOSED to be a Christmas gift from my mom, much shade to Steve Madden behind this story I’m about to tell. I ordered them myself, since when you’re older it’s much easier to just pick out your own Christmas gifts and have them pay for it. Anyway, I ordered them on December 16th. I endured being charged twice for the same boot in 2 different sizes, and UPS losing my package. Long story short, I didn’t get them until the 5th. Ridic. This is only half of the reason I hate ordering anything online, but thats a different story for a different day.
