Can you believe the first month of the year is already coming to an end? We all know January typically drags, so I’m more than grateful for the complete opposite this year. I’m also happy that I’ve managed to stay somewhat consistent this month as well, I’m proud of myself! And hopefully you guys are enjoying my posts! I’m still looking for more suggestions for new ideas and things to bring to my blog this year. Anything that you guys want to see, any feedback in general, I’m open to it all! Leave conments on this post, or feel free to shoot me an email through my contact page! I want to improve sevendaysinstyle as much as I can and keep your attention all 2019! Now, let’s get into this timeless blazer.. .

As I mentioned in my last post, I was sharing a cute and classic staple that I’ve been holding on to for a couple of months. For those of you who may not know, a staple is referred to as a timeless item in your closet, a classic piece that will never go out of style. I don’t remember exactly when I purchased this pinstripe blazer, it was sometime shortly before the holidays. I knew I was not leaving that store without it, But it is still on the website, I’ve linked it here. And I did not pay $50 for it of course LOL, I actually caught it on sale for $20! Not sure why there’s a current price difference. Anywho, I love this blazer so much because of it’s versatility, style it casually with jeans, or make it business appropriate with a skirt or dress underneath!

I chose the casual approach for my Sunday attire. A classic turtleneck and simple distressed jeans we’re just enough for me. And ‘m sure anyone can guess my favorite part of this blazer…..yes it’s gold button detail and the fact that it’s double breasted, of course. I also love that it is not entirely fitted, but creates more of a relaxed fit. And since this turtleneck isn’t a pure white, I thought my off white booties would be a nice touch. BTW I’m still convincing myself to buy a pair of bright white booties, just have to find the perfect pair that I won’t second guess first. One thing my mom taught me at a young age about fashion, “it’s hard to make white heels/shoes not look cheap!” LOL and that has stuck with me. Despite the fact that I am a bargain shopper, I will always choose quality and condition over anything.

Alright now on a sentimental note, as this first month of 2019 comes to a rapid end, I just have to say that I am very grateful and still so hopeful. Some things are falling into my lap, I’m feeling optimistic about this year and my future. I started and ended an amazing 21 day fast, which left me doing a LOT of self-reflecting and examining. But it was much needed. And although my walk is not perfect and still nowhere near where I would want it to be, God is still faithful. My eyes and heart have been opened to so many things over the last 21 days. I’m so grateful for the people God has placed in my life for various individual reasoning. Sometimes things don’t make sense until you stop and self-reflect. Do that this week, examine things from a different angle and pray for clarity and understanding. I hope He reveals something amazing to you. Have a great and fashionable week, babes! Happy Wedneslay!
