I can’t be the only one dying for a tropical vacation on an island resort right now, can’t be. Mimosa or margarita in hand, sunglasses on, without a care in the world. I had big plans to get my travel on this summer too, but this pandemic said SIKE sis. Bummer! Although Covid may have stolen your summer vacay plans, it doesn’t necessarily have to steal your summer style. I decided to pretend I was on a tropical island resort, since my friend’s pool gave me that vibe anyway, and I’m taking y’all with me. I created my own little vacation looks capsule and I’m so excited to share it, let me know if you catch the color scheme. So let’s explore these vibes, these looks and all of their details. Welcome to le island de Kris, haha. Just go there with me loves, cmon.

You can’t forget your beach wear and beach gear, those are the most important part of any summer vacation. And classic black swimsuits never fail. I’ve had these simple black high waist swim bottoms for ages, I paired them with a black one shoulder swim top [hard to tell it’s one shoulder, but it is]. I thought it would be fun to pair it with a pop of print. This cheetah top isn’t technically a swimsuit cover-up, but I definitely made it one for the occasion. I accessorized with a black floppy hat, and these super cute black mule slides, which I love the fine snakeskin detailing on. Click here to shop these accessories!

did someone say dinner on the resort? another absolute favorite part of vacationing for me is good food with some good drank! this simple ruffle sleeve dress is perfect just for that! It’s super light and comfy to throw on for a quick dinner date on the resort. If you’re like me you don’t want to have to put forth too much effort with your vacay looks, especially in terms of packing light, but you still want to look cute for the occasion?! Light and easy sun dresses are the perfect route to go! Style it with with simple mule heels as pictured here, or keep it comfy with the black slides. Shop this dress here!

Keeping it casual and lounging around the resort? These pants would be my absolute go-to. Best part about them? pockets of course. They’re easy to style with a tank and sandals [from Madewell] as I’ve done, or dress them up with summer heels if you so please. They’re elastic on both the waist and the ankles, although its hard to see. Didn’t get the best pictures in this look, but I won’t even get on that lol. I couldn’t find this exact pair of pants online to link for you, so I’ve linked a similar pair here.

Last but not least, let’s do some sight seeing and/or shopping! Whichever you like to top off your vacay with, this look could suit the occasion. It’s casual enough but still makes a stylish statement. I love the pop of color tank [from Zara] styled with these comfy paper bag pants! I accessorized this look with the perfect shade of brown strappy sandals [old from Forever 21] and a straw hat just for kicks! Add your fav sunnies, and you’re all set for your vacay adventure! You can shop these pants and hat here.

I had so much fun putting together this mini capsule for some inspired resort wear looks, as well as imagining myself wearing these looks at a resort. Soon come though, I’m praying! And I hope you were able to see the common theme and color scheme throughout all of them. You can shop everything I’ve linked on this post here. Comment below which look is your favorite, and where you wish you were tropical vacationing right now! As always, praying you guys are staying safe, especially if you are vacationing in the middle of this. I’ll continue pretending for now lol. Oh yes, Wedneslay will return next week, never fear! See you loves soon!
